“I Want to Encounter God.”
You’re about to make the best decision of your life!
You want to encounter God but don’t know where to start? How does someone have a right relationship with God? These are great questions! Jesus declared in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” As His Word promises, you will always encounter God through His son Jesus!
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him." – John 3:16-17 NLT
Maybe you’ve never had a life changing encounter with God, but your heart is burning to know Him for yourself. Maybe you’re in a place where you’ve wandered away from Christ and long to rededicate your life to Him. Or maybe you’ve never had the opportunity to make Jesus your Lord and Saviour – you can’t think of a time where you accepted Jesus into your heart and life.
Wherever and whoever you are, God’s arms are open to you – He longs and calls for you to come home to Him today!
Let me tell you, there are no formulas or magic words for salvation. The power for that comes through your faith in Jesus alone!
How do I begin a personal relationship with God?
- A – Admit that you have sinned.
- “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” (Romans 3:23).
- B – Believe that Jesus is the son of God, that He died on the cross and He rose from the dead. His blood paid a debt you could not pay.
- “He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.” (Ephesians 1:7)
- C – Confess from your mouth and commit your heart to Jesus in faith.
- “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
Put your faith in Jesus today!
When you put your faith (trust, confidence, belief) in Jesus, that is what saves you. Faith is what makes you right with God (Romans 5:1). God forgives your sin, washes you clean, makes you new, and puts His Spirit within you. From this one decision, choosing to follow Jesus and making him the Lord of your life, you can be sure that you’ll be with Him for eternity in Heaven!

There is nothing you have ever done that God cannot forgive!
God loves you, He sees you, and He wants you to be full of the life that comes from knowing Jesus as your personal saviour. He wants you to encounter Him daily and allow Him to put you on the path of true, everlasting life, on this earth and in heaven!
Say this prayer with me out-loud, from your heart, no matter where you are!
“Heavenly Father, thank you for sending your son Jesus to die in my place, paying a debt I could not pay. I admit that I’ve sinned and I repent. I believe in my heart, you raised Jesus from the dead, and I confess with my mouth, that Jesus is my Lord and my Saviour. I want to encounter you every day of my life! Come into my heart Lord Jesus, take out the stony heart and put in a heart of flesh. Fill me with your Holy Spirit. Right now, I receive your forgiveness and by the blood of Jesus, I am saved. I am made new. I am free. I am loved. I am a child of God. In Jesus name—Amen!”
If you prayed with me today, you are a NEW CREATION – the old you is dead and gone, and the NEW YOU is alive and well (2 Corinthians 5:17)!
Believe this and say, “I am made new in Jesus!”
